Indian Creek Yacht Club recently “cut the ribbon” on an expansion and upgrade to its docking facilities

Indian Creek Yacht Club recently “cut the ribbon” on an expansion and upgrade to its docking facilities on Indian Creek, a prime stop for visiting Yacht Clubs on the North-South route through Chesapeake Bay.  "Indian Creek welcomes organized cruises of boats from numerous reciprocity yacht clubs as well as individual boats crewed by members of these clubs or the Yachting Clubs of America," said Commodore Bob Wayland.  Port Captain John Upshur noted that the electrical system for the marina has been upgraded and now is safer with less chance of current leakage to waters near the boats. Past Commodore’s Steve Bedford and Bill Whitney oversaw the needed governmental approvals, contract bidding and award, and construction. Seven additional slips able to accommodate boats of 50 feet or more in length and a large T-head were added to the facility. Visitors to Indian Creek are able to enjoy the 18 hole golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis courts and swimming pool.  Club President Al Ross commented that "Visitors are going  be wowed by the three newly redecorated dining venues in the Clubhouse and the Willow Oaks Terrace, completed in 2018, for al fresco dining.”
