Aweigh we go!

We've been waiting a long time for this!  This is our new "hub" for all of the great things happening around ICYCC.   This blog will be the place to go and read interesting stories, not only about members and employees, but links to special interest topics related to our piece of heaven here on the Northern Neck.   We want to hear from you!   Everyone has a story - simply email Megan@icycc.com and you could be featured in an upcoming post!

We want to thank our Club Members for supporting the Club over the past 66 years and in particular throughout the pandemic.  We were fortunate to be a safe harbor for you during this time and your enthusiasm and willingness to try new ways of doing things meant the world to us.  We can't wait to see what the rest of 2021 will bring.

We encourage members and visitors to check our blog often as we have a lot of great things to share throughout the season.     The most important item that we would like to share right now is that we are open for business (golf, racquet center, marina and dining rooms) and we would love to see your smiling faces.   We have seen many return to their more regular ways of using the Club, but if you haven't ventured out quite yet, please do.  We are ready and waiting to serve you.

Note: Aweigh(adj)

(used of an anchor) hanging clear of the bottom

An anchor is a device used on ships when they are made to stay at the harbor. However, when they are prepared to leave the port, the captain ensures that the anchors are pulled back and placed at the right place. Therefore, it is called “anchors aweigh,” which means the ship is prepared to leave the port or harbor.
